	Implant dentistry is a specialty at the Sparta Dental Center. Dr. Malin has been a leader and innovator in implant dentistry for many years. Currently an instructor in Implant Dentistry at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute of Advance Dental Studies Dr. Malin has also lectured around the country and internationally on Implant Dentistry and Neuromuscular Dentistry.

	Dr. Malin’s state-of-the-art technique utilizes I-Cat scan technology and IVS implant software to plan each implant. The I-Cat scan ensures accuracy of placement and the 3-D IVS software ensures greater longevity and more aesthetically pleasing results for each implant.

What are dental implants?

Your natural teeth consist of two basic parts - the crown which is the part of your tooth that shows above the gumline and the root - the anchor hidden below the gumline. When a tooth is missing, a dental implant in the form of a titanium post takes the place of the missing root. The natural crown is then replaced with a prosthetic porcelain crown.
