Our doctors and staff provide efficient and friendly care for patients of any age. This page will tell you what to expect on your first visit. When you first arrive, expect a friendly greeting from our staff. If you have not yet scheduled your first visit, call us today. We make timely service a priority, and we can often make same-day appointments.
We also have the ability to send our patients an email after they schedule their first appointment and their forms can be filled out electronically before they even arrive at our office for their appointment.
Our highly qualified hygienists measure the gum pockets and bone levels, record recession and bleeding, and treatment plan a cleaning process that is specific to the patient’s level of disease.
In order to minimize your waiting time, please fill out and bring these forms with you to your first appointment.
If you do not have a recent set of x-rays, we will begin by taking a new set of digital x-rays. X-rays are an important tool to assist our doctors in properly diagnosing your dental health issues. Our office uses digital x-rays, which reduce radiation exposure by 90 percent.
One of our doctors will perform your initial examination, looking for signs of tooth decay, gum disease, and other maladies. She will also perform an oral cancer screening. After your exam, your doctor and hygienist will discuss their findings and treatment options with you. This initial visit is important to determine your specific dental needs so that you can be scheduled for the appropriate cleaning and care.
We are taking every precaution necessary to limit the exposure of any virus within our office to protect our valued patients and staff. While we have always implemented the highest standards of infection control (above what is recommended), you will also see some new protocols that we would like you to be aware of.
